Fletcher Park
Decatur Earthmover Credit Union is proud to be the first corporate sponsor for Fletcher Park in Mt. Zion.
DECU has pledged $15,000 over three years to help see this worthwhile park to its completion.
Fletcher Park will include a large open pavilion overlooking an amphitheater with a two and a half acre pond as a back drop. Over a mile of walkways and trails will meander throughout the park over bridges crossing the pond, on and around berms, transforming to boardwalks near the pond edges and looping the entire park together.
A playground area is planned to be a two level complex that divides the play equipment between 2-5 year olds and 6-12 year olds. The older groups play area roughly 3 foot higher is connected with the lower by two ramps and a faux rock climber wall between.
Fletcher Park promises to be a focal point for the recreational activity in the Mt. Zion area. The park will be an excellent place for fellowship, relaxation and should create a sense of pride in the village.
